Faded and withered....

My heart got me some flowers a while ago and today I found them faded in color and withered in spirit, but still charming in their own way...
So before feeding them to the compost I decided to immortalize them...

Rain....

It's raining so hard... Not that I mind. I think the rain is beautiful... It smells wonderful, sounds soothing and is so nurturing in so many ways. I love taking pictures in the rain, even though only 1% ever reach the cutting board I like to call Bridge. I still haven't figured out how to capture the rain perfectly, but every time it does rain, I grab my camera and run outdoors...

"There is really nothing you must be.
And there is nothing you must do.
There is really nothing you must have.
And there is nothing you must know.
There is really nothing you must become.
However. It helps to understand that fire burns,
and when it rains, the earth gets wet...."

I'm soaring....

gliding....

I'm currently in a holding pattern, not going anywhere. Just going along the motions of everyday, feeling like a bird, free, but aimless. Waiting for winter so I can fly south... Any day now...

Take me to my beach....

it washes me free....

Wind on the Hill by A. A. Milne
No one can tell me,
Nobody knows,
Where the wind comes from,
Where the wind goes.

It's flying from somewhere
As fast as it can,
I couldn't keep up with it,
Not if I ran.

But if I stopped holding
The string of my kite,
It would blow with the wind
For a day and a night.

And then when I found it,
Wherever it blew,
I should know that the wind
Had been going there too.

So then I could tell them
Where the wind goes...
But where the wind comes from
Nobody knows.

What lies behind....

Living in one place for too long makes one blind to the daily wonders before you, it's when you leave you might see what you had, and when you come back you have a new appreciation and see things with fresh eyes.
I've left before and come back with new thoughts, so this time I know better what I'm leaving behind, and my what a beautiful place this is....

“And the danger is that in this move toward new horizons and far directions, that I may lose what I have now, and not find anything except loneliness”
 Sylvia Plath

It is not easy to walk alone in the country without musing upon something.  ~Charles Dickens

I roamed the countryside searching for answers to things I did not understand.  ~Leonardo da Vinci
